Mug – Blue – Tall

This mug holds 14 oz. and is approximately 5 1/4″ tall, though each one varies in height; 130-135 mm.

Since I make a lot mugs I take a relaxed approach to precision. The basic shape is always the same, but I treat each one as a unique piece. This allows me to enjoying making the form responding to subtleties in the clay, resulting in a more personal mug.

With lots of surface area the glaze runs nicely on this form.

A consideration I’m sometimes asked about is whether it will fit a “guy’s hand.” I have average sized hands and comfortably fit three fingers in the handle.
